The MarVision Non-Verbal Communication Device and Method is
a simple yet powerful way for those suffering from disease and disability to communicate effectively with friends and family.
The
device is a class II laser pointer enclosed in a light-weight case. The unit was designed to allow users with different difficulties
to effectively use the device by attaching it to eyeglasses, a hat, a finger or the arm - giving you the flexibility to make
communication as comfortable as possible.
The system also includes a booklet featuring key words and phrases as well
as pictorial representations of several items or needs. This allows the user to quickly communicate instructions or desires
to caregivers.
An alphabet chart is included to allow the user the ability to spell out words and phrases without
limitation - giving you and your family the ability to quickly communicate on a meaningful level.
Wearing the pointing
device, the user is able to make small motions with his or her head (or finger, or arm) to point the laser beam at a corresponding
spot on the booklet pages.
There are no lessons to learn, computers to program, or devices to calibrate. Within minutes
you and your family will be able to "talk" to each other again - quickly, easily and comfortably.

MarVision Laser Pointing Device
The laser pointer is housed in a light-wieght case designed to make long term wear
more comfortable for the user.
The device is powered by two AAA batteries located in a seperate battery case and
can be switched off when not in use.
To make viewing as comfortable as possible, the laser beam can be easily adjusted
for brightness and focus.
